You work collaboratively with the rest of the studio to grow brands creatively and effectively, through the lens of expression, experience, and business.
About the position
As a Senior Strategist at AKQA Copenhagen, you will be at the forefront of shaping future-facing strategies and offerings that seamlessly integrate creativity, design, technology, and business thinking. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate closely with clients to transform complex challenges into meaningful, human-centric solutions powered by data, digital trends, and technological innovation.
Operating at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and technology, you will help clients uncover digital opportunities they didn’t know existed and guide them towards sustainable, market-shifting solutions rooted in emerging technologies and data-driven insights. You will play a key role in expanding AKQA’s strategic capabilities in Copenhagen and driving thought leadership across global client engagements. You thrive in environments where ambiguity is the starting point and are energized by solving complex business problems through insight, empathy, and imaginative, tech-enabled approaches.
Your responsibilities include:

- Designing and executing research leveraging ethnography, foresight, UX, semiotics, and quantitative data analytics (including social listening and market analysis)
- Translating insights into actionable strategies, digital concepts, and compelling value propositions that leverage technology to drive impact
- Guiding clients through ambiguity and complexity as a trusted advisor on digital innovation and strategic design
- Leading and mentoring multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality, tech-integrated strategic outputs
- Representing AKQA’s creative, strategic, and technology-driven design methodologies to clients and stakeholders
- Contributing to pitch development and identifying new business opportunities in collaboration with client teams
- Helping to shape and scale best practices within AKQA’s global strategy and innovation community
- Supporting a positive, inclusive team culture that prioritizes wellbeing, creativity, continuous learning, and digital fluency
This role demands both independent drive and strong collaborative skills, alongside a passion for embedding technology and creativity into strategic problem-solving. You will play a key role in AKQA’s ambition to redefine what design and strategy can achieve together.
