The position
As Fund Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for handling fund operations, servicing and advising a variety of customers within AIFM. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality fund administration and accounting services tailored to Danish customers, ensuring precise bookkeeping and comprehensive fund management. Your role will involve taking ownership of customer onboarding, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring that services meet the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
In addition to fund administration, you will collaborate with central functions on critical tasks, such as regulatory reporting and compliance. The role also involves supporting the Nordic sales team and playing a key role in streamlining and further optimizing and digitizing Embankment's services across markets.
Your responsibilities include:
- Admin (accounting, drawdowns, distributions, reporting) on client funds
- Accounting on customers’ management companies
- Day-to-day customer contact
- Coordination with the cross functional teams (e.g. in relation to reporting to authorities, legal advice, onboarding, AML, KYC etc.)
- Support the sales function
- Take on ad hoc tasks to enhance efficiency and ensure seamless operations
Joining Embankment offers a unique opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge company, with ambitious plans to continue expanding in the European region. You will work in a collaborative, ambitious environment where your work directly contributes to improving the fund administration experience for a wide range of alternative asset managers.
Your profile
We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background in accounting, economics, or related field. You have 2-5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or controlling, including in VAT, payroll, and tax. While prior experience in fund administration is beneficial, it is not a requirement. What matters most is a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and the ability to manage operational entities.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance independent work with teamwork. You should be comfortable leading customer dialogues, have a knack for adapting processes to new demands, and possess a strong analytical mindset.
You are:
- Structured and accurate, with a high sense of responsibility
- Skilled in accounting (and maybe also operational fund processes)
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Strong in communication, especially with customers
- Curious and confident in working with digital tools
- Excited by the opportunity to grow with a scale-up and contribute to its expansion
