The position
As Director of Global Marketing, you will be responsible for defining and executing Assessio’s global marketing strategy, working to strengthen the brand and drive commercial impact across markets. You will lead and build an international team of +15 marketing professionals while also taking an active role in daily execution, combining strategic leadership with a hands-on approach. Your responsibilities span across brand positioning, demand generation, digital marketing, content creation, product marketing, and campaign execution.
You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align go-to-market initiatives and ensure that marketing directly supports commercial goals. A key part of your role will be to professionalize, buildand scale the global marketing function, implement marketing technologies, and ensure data-driven decision-making. You will own the marketing budget, oversee performance tracking, and report on key metrics such as traffic, engagement, lead quality, and marketing ROI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and execute Assessio’s global marketing strategy
- Strengthen brand positioning and visibility across markets and channels
- Build, Lead and develop the international marketing team
- Align go-to-market planning with Sales and Product
- Drive content marketing, thought leadership, and digital campaigns
- Manage and optimize CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Track and report on KPIs, including lead generation and conversion metrics
- Ensure strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
You will be part of the leadership team and report directly to the CRO, Mikkel Lundø.
Your profile
The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree within marketing or business and brings at least 10 years of experience from senior B2B marketing roles, with a minimum of 5 years spent within SaaS or similar technology-driven environments. You have a solid track record of developing and executing global marketing strategies that drive commercial outcomes, and you are well-versed in building strong brands, executing demand generation campaigns, and supporting product launches. You are experienced in aligning marketing with commercial teams and have a deep understanding of the digital customer journey, content marketing, and performance tracking.
You are familiar with CRM and marketing automation systems (HubSpot) and have successfully used Hubspot to improve targeting, lead nurturing, and conversion. Experience from a PE-backed company and operating in an international setup is considered a clear advantage. As a person, you combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, and you are both data-driven and creatively minded. You are ambitious, curious, and proactive – with a strong ability to lead and inspire teams while working cross-functionally to create business impact. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are essential.
