The position
As Accounting Expert based in Stockholm, you will play a key role in Embankment’s expansion into the Swedish market, ensuring high-quality accounting and financial administration services tailored to their Swedish customers. You will be responsible for managing operational entities, including payroll, VAT, and day-to-day accounting for customers.
Your responsibilities include:
- Accounting & Financial Administration for Swedish customers
- Handling VAT, payroll, and tax filings for operational entities
- Customer interaction and advisory on accounting-related matters
- Ensuring compliance with Swedish financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Coordinating with the Copenhagen office on financial reporting and operational processes
- Assisting with system implementations and process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Ad hoc responsibilities in line with the evolving needs of a scale-up environment
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing scale-up environment, where you will help shape Embankment’s financial administration services in Sweden. Furthermore, the role will involve handling a range of ad hoc responsibilities as Embankment continue to evolve and refine their services in a dynamic market.
Your place of work will be located in Stockholm, Sweden, in their newly established office space.
Your profile
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in accounting, audit, or a related field. You should have a minimum of a two-five years of experience in accounting, including payroll and VAT. You have solid accounting knowledge and experience handling operational entities and financial administration. Experience with Microsoft 365 is an advantage, and familiarity with fund structures is beneficial but not a must. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you are authorized by SRF or FAR. While prior experience in fund administration is beneficial, it is not a requirement—what matters most is a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and the ability to manage operational entities.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance independent work with teamwork. You should be comfortable handling ongoing customer dialogues, have a knack for adapting processes to new markets, and possess a strong problem-solving mindset. Being tech-savvy and innovative is crucial – and a passion for making a tangible impact and for contributing to a high-growth scale-up environment is key.
