Director, Data Science & Analytics
On behalf of Choreograph, we are looking for a Director, Data Science & Analytics to join one of the leading marketing analytics units in the Nordics. This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with advanced analytics while playing a central client-facing role for some of the region’s leading brands.
About Choreograph
Choreograph is WPP’s global data products and technology company, built to help leading brands unlock the value of their data and drive smarter marketing decisions through advanced analytics and technology. The organization combines groundbreaking data solutions, AI-powered platforms and expert services to transform how data is used across the marketing cycle – from audience discovery and planning to activation and measurement.
Choreograph’s mission is to help clients better understand their customers, optimize media and creative decisions, and deliver measurable business impact by making data and insights central to strategic decision-making. The team works across data science, predictive modelling, identity solutions, audience strategy and cloud-enabled analytics, powering solutions that enable brands to grow and perform more effectively in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
As part of WPP’s broader media and technology ecosystem, Choreograph partners with global agency teams, data partners and leading technology platforms to provide tailored client solutions that combine deep analytical expertise with real-world commercial impact.
The position
As Director, Data Science & Analytics, you will play a key role in delivering advanced analytical solutions to some of Choreograph’s largest Nordic clients. The position centers on hands-on work with data and advanced analytical methods, including econometric modelling, attribution analysis, experimental design and algorithm development. It involves working with large and often complex datasets, extracting insights and presenting them in a clear and compelling way to senior client stakeholders.
Project ownership is an essential part of the role, covering the development of analytical approaches, coordination of project teams and ensuring high-quality deliveries from scoping to final presentation. The position also contributes to the development of new advanced solutions, tools and methods, including exploring and utilizing opportunities within AI and machine learning.
Collaboration with both technical specialists and client-focused colleagues is a central element, and the role operates closely with Choreograph’s broader Nordic and global analytics environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and delivering data-driven analytics projects for some of the region's largest advertisers
- Developing advanced analytical solutions such as econometric models, attribution frameworks, experiments and algorithmic approaches
- Working hands-on with data, conducting statistical analysis and extracting actionable insights
- Presenting findings and recommendations directly to clients, including senior stakeholders
- Translating complex analytical work into clear storylines and business guidance
- Collaborating with technical experts and global teams to develop new methods, tools and approaches
- Taking project ownership – scoping, structuring, prioritizing and driving execution
The role does not include formal people management but may include informal leadership of project teams.
Your profile
You have at least 3 years of relevant experience within analytics, data science or consultancy and are accustomed to owning your own projects, analyses and client dialogue. You are motivated by combining analytical depth with clear communication, and you enjoy transforming complex data into insights that drive decisions and create impact for clients.
You bring a strong academic background within mathematics, statistics, economics, data science or a related quantitative field, and you are comfortable working hands-on with modelling, analysis and larger datasets. Experience with tools such as Python, R or Power BI is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You thrive in a role that blends execution and advisory work, engaging confidently with stakeholders, presenting findings and building clear storylines around your analyses. As a person, you are curious, proactive and structured, with a pragmatic approach that keeps projects moving even when data is imperfect. In addition you enjoy a dynamic, collaborative environment and contribute positively to an informal, high-performing culture.
